Using Google Web Master Tools for Blogger Blogs

For your Blogger blogs don't you like to get detailed reports about your pages' visibility on Google? If you add your Blogger Blogs to Google Webmaster Tools you can easily see how Google crawls and indexes your blogs and diagnose problems, if any.

To use Google Web Master Tools for your Blogger Blogs:

  1. Log in to your Google account.

  2. Go to Webmaster Tools.

  3. Type your blog URL in the "Add Site" field.

  4. Then, you can verify it by choosing "Verify" button at the top. Choose "Meta Tag" option and add that meta tag to your blog template after the "head" tag.

  5. Choose "Sitemaps" and type:

    atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=100

    in the sitemap field.

This sitemap is for the first 100 posts of your blog. After completion of 100 posts you have to submit another sitemap for next 100 for which your have just to change the index=1 to read as index=101 i.e.

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=101&max-results=100
